Cindy and Emily gave me this Hello Kitty as the three of us are fans. Today, she’s with me and so is Cindy. I know she’s watching and caring for all of us like she always do.

We brought Cindy some Hello Kitty stuff from Tokyo one year… there was a whole store full. I honestly can’t remember exactly what we bought her, I just remember how fun it was to bring her things she couldn’t get here and how much she loved whatever simple things we bought…

Jessica just shared a Hello Kitty holding <li>, but I wanted to share something from my daughter tonight. When I told my daughter, now 12, about Cindy, she brought out the Hello Kitty Cindy and Matt brought her for her 6th birthday, and that she sleeps with every night since then. Hello Kitty from Cindy & Matt for daughter on her 6th B-day in 2012, brought back from Japan. All she could say was “Kitty is sad tonight like the rest of us” 😢

This was a really fun trip :) I’m pretty sure there were hello kitty waffles the next morning! We’d just got off the plane and then went to target and a food shop and came back to have a BBQ. I think Nik actually fell asleep on the table 😂😂 we’d been up 18ish hours by then! 💗

There was a Sunday Hello Kitty brunch one day in… 2008 it looks like, and I think Cindy was still working for ScrapBlog at the time? I don’t remember the details but she’d had a shitty day the day before, so I searched for a pet store that had rabbits and after brunch we went out for Bunny Therapy. My Cindy Li Origin Story: I randomly emailed Cindy after SXSW in 2006 after seeing her name bandied about and realizing she lived somewhere near Washington, DC. Basically like, “Hey wanna come out to this little event I run?” It’s Cindy so of course she did.
